Power of Positive Thinking

If we talk about the power of positive thinking, Abraham Lincoln had well said: “Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be”.

Researcher has found that positive thinking can aid in stress management and physical fitness. It means approaching challenges of life with a positive outlook. That doesn't mean you ignore negative events and don't prepare for the future. It's not about thinking that everything is going to be wonderful. Positive thinking means that you focus on finding solutions, approach the negative events in a different way and focus on having the best work out for you instead of looking at the worst. One negative thought attracts 10 negative thoughts and so leads to more struggle and pain.

Impact of positive thinking on health:

  • Positive thinking increases the life span
  • Lowers the stress
  • Increases resistance to the common cold
  • Lower the cardiovascular disease
  • Betters psychological health
  • Lowers depression
  • Strengthens the immune system

Positive and negative thinking is contagious. We effect and are also affected by the people we meet. People are more disposed to help us, if we are positive and they feel repulsive when we broadcast negativity. Negative thoughts and words create unhappy feelings which releases poison in blood and thus causing more unhappiness and negativity

Few ways to keep yourself positive:

  • Cultivate and live in positive environment. Ignore what others say and think about you. Thereby keeping your mindset positive toward yourself.
  • Once a negative thought creeps in your mind you have to be aware and try to replace the same with positive thoughts.
  • Your character should always be stronger than the circumstances. It should not matter what your circumstances are , keep thinking positive and  favourable results and situations.
  • Use your imagination to visualize favourable and beneficial situations. And yes, smile a little more since it will help think positively.
